RN/Registered Nurse, PSYCH ICU – University of Washington

Join our dedicated team at Harborview Medical Center, a Level I Trauma and Burn Center serving the Greater Seattle area.

Job Description
$10,000.00 Recruitment Incentive for eligible new employees joining UW Medicine.

Department
  • 21-bed unit
  • 2:1 staffing ratios
  • 24/7 security
  • ICU patient population is primarily involuntary. Nurses and staff are trained in de‑escalation, seclusion, and restraint techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in a 21‑bed psych ICU.
  • Maintain 2:1 staffing ratios and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Implement de‑escalation and restraint protocols for involuntary patients.
Schedule
  • 90% in days (First Shift).
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Held a Washington state nursing license (RN or MSL).
  • One or more years in psychiatric nursing or acute‑care setting.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $91,152.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum: $ annual
Other Compensation: $10,000 signing bonus; relocation BSN premium; certification premium; weekend shift differential; overtime pay.
