Registered Nurse - Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Postpartum
Location:
- Seattle, WA, 98122
Duration:
- 13 Weeks
Shift:
- Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Pay rate:
- $60- $65/hr W2.

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in the postpartum period, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Conduct assessments of mothers and infants, monitoring vital signs, and observing for any signs of complications or concerns.
- Assist with breastfeeding education and support, including proper positioning and latching techniques.
- Educate new mothers on newborn care, including feeding, diapering, bathing, and safe sleep practices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, lactation consultants, and social workers, to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, care provided, and any interventions or outcomes.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to new mothers and their families, addressing their concerns and helping them navigate the challenges of parenthood.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide education to families on post-discharge care and follow-up appointments.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of [insert state].
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Maternal-Newborn Nursing (RN-C) or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.
- Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in maternal-child nursing, with specific experience in postpartum care preferred.
