Swedish Medical Group is seeking a full‑time Certified Nurse Midwife to join a shared group practice in Seattle, Washington. This team aims to eliminate health disparities and improve perinatal outcomes through independent, anti‑racist, trauma‑informed, evidence‑based midwifery care. The practice manages approximately 50 deliveries per month in a large tertiary care center with a low C‑section rate and excellent outcomes. Ideal candidates are adaptable, mission‑oriented, and can work independently with minimal support.

  • Experienced full‑scope midwife preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply
  • AMCB Certification, active DEA, WA State RN/ARNP license and certification from an accredited Nurse Midwifery program required
  • Mix of perinatal care, first assisting for cesareans, GYN problem visits and annual exams, family planning, and lactation
  • This position requires a mix of weekday, night and weekend shifts as well as flexibility around schedule patterns
  • Comprehensive benefits include health, vision, dental and retirement
  • As a non‑profit organization, Swedish is an eligible employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program
  • Compensation is between $141,611 and $193,063 per year
  • Compensation may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them

Swedish Medical Center's First Hill campus is a 697‑bed, general medical and surgical hospital in downtown Seattle. The largest of Swedish’s five hospitals, First Hill is considered the main Swedish campus. In addition to the hospital and emergency department, the campus is home to the Swedish Cancer Institute and the Swedish Orthopedic Institute. The hospital provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including the area’s largest childbirth center, NICU and specialty pediatric care.
