The Clinical Transplant Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical aspects of organ transplantation as applied to the transplant recipient. These activities will include those involved in the evaluation, work‑up and pre‑transplant and/or post‑transplant medical and surgical care of potential recipients. The coordinator will be actively involved in the development of the program and act as a liaison to referring physicians and dialysis centers.
This individual will have responsibility for educational, administrative and technical tasks related to clinical transplantation. The Clinical Transplant Coordinator is expected to participate in 24‑hour on call (from home) coverage. Assisting in maintaining records (written and computerized) and providing information necessary for complete patient care is an important aspect of this position.

Required qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Applicants without a BSN degree must actively pursue and attain a BSN within five years of hire. Continued employment by Swedish beyond five years is contingent upon attaining the BSN degree. Registered Nurses employed by Swedish prior to December 1, 2012 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
- Upon hire:
Washington Registered Nurse License. - Experience with or willingness to master the use of the transplant database.
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Upon hire:
Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (without certification must actively pursue and attain certification within 2 years of hire). - 2 years of experience in the field of organ transplantation or critical care nursing.
