Advanced Practice Provider - Otolaryngology

We are recruiting for a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery team. In the ambulatory environment, the APP will practice independently to manage patients presenting with a broad range of pathologies affecting the head and neck and also work collaboratively with attending surgeons to care for children with complex medical conditions and surgical needs. The APP will have the opportunity to learn and maintain proficiency for how to interpret diagnostic imaging and other studies and perform a range of procedures including binocular microscopy, foreign body removal, and cauterization.

The APP will also contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects, and participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.

• Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.
• One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.

• For Nurse Practitioners:
  • Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington.
  • Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner.
• For Physician Assistants:
  • Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington.
  • Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• For All Providers:
  • Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals required at hire, maintained continuously. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) accepted in lieu of BLS.
  • Some clinical locations may require Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification.
  • Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children’s Hospital secured prior to hire and maintained in good standing throughout employment. All privileges terminate automatically upon termination of employment. Termination does not prevent seeking privileges at Children’s as a non‑employee. Direct questions to Medical Staff Services.

• Two years experience in advanced practice provider role.
• Two years experience in pediatric health care.
• First assist and surgical clinic experience.

$131,821 - $193,872 per year. This position is eligible for relocation for qualified candidates.

* This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.*

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This compensation range is specific to Seattle; positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
