UW Medical Center - Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Research Team in a per diem/intermittent position.
WORK SCHEDULE
Variable Schedule a mix of Day Shifts and Night Shifts DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION Our CLINICAL RESEARCH CENTER (7S) is a 15-bed unit (10 in-patient beds, 5 procedure chairs) which provides care to patients in research studies funded by the National Institutes of Health. Inpatients and day patients range in age from pediatric to geriatric, and represent diagnoses in many areas, including disorders of the endocrine, hematologic, and immune systems PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate and document for assigned patients (if applicable) the completion of:
Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients
Care planning
Implementation of safe nursing care
Evaluation of patient responses to nursing care
Patient teaching
Patient advocacy
Discharge and transfer planning
Admission, discharge and transfer processes
Direct patients, families, visitors and staff members in emergencies and complex situations REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of current Med/Surg nursing experience with Research focus

Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$43.82 hourly
Pay Range Maximum:
$79.60 hourly
Other Compensation:
$2.50/hr evenings $4.50/hour nights $4.00/hr weekend differentials $1.00/hr BSN Premium $1.25/hr Nursing Certification Overtime pay
