Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiac Services

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our multidisciplinary team in the care of cardiac surgery and cardiology patients. This role provides direct patient care and assumes primary responsibility for clinical management across ambulatory, cardiac catheterization lab, and inpatient settings.

• Deliver comprehensive clinical care to cardiac surgery and cardiology patients in ambulatory clinics, the cardiac cath lab, and inpatient units.
• Obtain detailed patient histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies and tests.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications in accordance with institutional and state guidelines.
• Participate in case management and ensure seamless transitions of care.
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians, specialists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to departmental and organizational quality improvement and performance initiatives.
• Support education and research efforts involving patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program OR graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.

One year work experience in a pediatric or family focused clinical area.

For Nurse Practitioners:

Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington.

Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner.

For Physician Assistants:

Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington.

Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

For All Providers:

Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment.

Preferred:

Two years experience in advanced practice provider role.

Two years experience in pediatric health care.

The compensation range for this position is $131,821 - $193,872 per year.
