Overview
ATC Healthcare is looking for a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN). The LPN/LVN provides skilled nursing services to patients in facilities, including hospitals, long term care and psychiatric hospitals, centers for the developmentally disabled, public health facilities, and veterans’ hospitals. The LPN/LVN works under the direction of a professional registered nurse or medical doctor and provides a variety of related services to maintain a therapeutic environment.

$49.00/hr - $49.00/hr

- Performs nursing acts under the delegation/supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Administers nursing procedures per patients’ care plans (e.g., sterile dressings, enemas, tube feeding, oxygen therapy, ROM therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, pre- and post-operative care).
- Sets up prescribed medications and administers them orally, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously; monitors effects and reactions.
- Assists in rehabilitation programming and activities for residents, focusing on social skills, daily living skills, reality orientation, and recreational skills.
- Records treatments and monitors patients’ health; transports or accompanies patients to procedures as needed.
- May perform limited IV tasks if IV certified and permitted by the facility and state regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA; provides non-judgmental, culturally sensitive care that respects autonomy, rights, and dignity.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Completion of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice.
- Experience and skills in medication administration and related clinical tasks; knowledge of CPAP, oxygen delivery methods, de-escalation skills.
- At least one year of experience in LTC/LTAC/REHAB facilities.
- Background screening and drug screening as required by state or client contract.
- Some states or clients may require an employment physical.
- Work sites vary.
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
- Ability to read medical equipment and documents; may involve pushing carts and medical equipment.
- May involve assisting with moving and transporting patients.
