Job Description

The UW Medicine Montlake Campus has an opportunity for a Nurse Manager, ICU Resource Team, STAT and VAT.

Work Schedule

Full time, day shift. Some weekends. Some holidays.

Position Highlights
  • Function as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
  • Provides leadership and coordination for the ICU Resource Team, STAT and VAT programs.
  • Guides and directs the activities of the Staff Nurses, Assistant Managers, Patient Care Technicians, and support staff in the designated unit.
Department Description

STAT RN program, ICU Resource team, and Vascular Access Team (VAT). The Nurse Manager is responsible for directing the nursing, business, technical and support activities of the units. Oversee administrative and clinical functions including operations, facilities, finance, human resources, and works collaboratively with the Medical Teams and Associate Medical Directors in planning and development.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provides Human Resources support hiring staff, development of performance standards.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service that ensures patients and family members are attended to in a professional manner.
  • Supports hospital mission and objectives.
  • Monitors high standards/care practice by team.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field, or enrolled in a Master’s program.
  • At least two years formal supervisory leadership experience in ICU services, preferably cardiothoracic, cardiac ICU.
  • BLS certification.
