Join Seattle Reign FC as a Seasonal Media Assistant and support a dynamic communications and marketing team as we continue to elevate the stories of our players, staff, and club. This part-time, hands‑on role plays a critical function in managing media relationships, supporting content execution, and maintaining our club’s professional standards in press‑facing environments.
This individual will work cross‑functionally to support Reign FC’s external messaging, coordinate interviews and player access, and help create compelling, timely, and accurate media materials. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, poised in high‑pressure environments, and excited to contribute to a growing global stage for women’s sports!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Media Relations & Interview Coordination- Serve as an on‑site media liaison during training sessions and home matches.
- Coordinate and schedule player interviews across Zoom, phone, and in‑person formats.
- Manage logistics and preparation for local and national media appearances.
- Support media credential organization and approvals.
- Collaborate with the Digital, Photo, and Video teams to support visual storytelling.
- Assist in tracking and preparing player milestones, records, and stat‑driven storylines.
- Help maintain and update Reign FC’s media center with key media assets and weekly game notes.
- Write, proof, and distribute media materials, including press releases and media advisories.
- Transcribe post‑match press conferences and player/coach interviews.
- Track and summarize media coverage for internal communications reports.
- Represent the communications team at training, home matches, and other club events.
- Support broadcast and production logistics, including scheduling press conferences.
- Actively contribute to communications planning for special events and team milestones.
- May travel with the team to select away matches throughout the season to support media operations, requests and press conferences.
- Experience in sports communications, journalism, or public relations (student or early‑career professionals welcome).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and flexible with a dynamic team schedule.
- Openness to leverage innovative technologies, including AI tools, to enhance media and communications efforts.

- Experience in a live sports environment (e.g., press box, training sessions, game day operations).
- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign (training available if needed).
- Knowledge of soccer statistics and the NWSL landscape.
- Exposure to women’s sports storytelling and media practices.
- Multilingual abilities or interest in global coverage a plus.
