Job Title:

Aluminum Welder Job Description

We are seeking 10 MIG Aluminum Welders to join our team immediately. In this role, you will perform basic welding and fabrication tasks under close supervision, focusing on MIG welding on aluminum. You will operate welding equipment, read simple blueprints, and ensure that work meets safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic welding operations using MIG processes.
  • Read and interpret simple blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
  • Set up welding machines and select appropriate tools and materials.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow company safety standards and wear required PPE.
  • Assist experienced welders with complex fabrication tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in aluminum welding and MIG welding on aluminum.
  • 1–3 years of welding experience.
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties.
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and technical documents.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical training or welding certification preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of welding safety procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a team and possess good hand-eye coordination.
  • Willingness to learn and accept supervision.

Work Environment

Work indoors with exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise. Hard hats and safety glasses are required. The role may require overtime based on production demands. You will work Monday-Friday with shifts from 5am-1:30pm or 1:00pm-9:30pm, with flexibility required for potential shift changes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $37.00/hr.
