Software Development Manager, AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. The Software Development Manager will lead the Replenishment Planning team, driving product strategy, architecture, and execution to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Effectively mentor and manage a team of Software Development Engineers.
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across development processes.
- Lead design, architecture, and development discussions, advocating for the right outcomes with data, conviction, and diplomacy.
- Build scalable mechanisms to audit and inspect highly cross‑functional initiatives spanning operations, supply chain specialists, and software engineers.
- Champion product strategy, roadmap execution, and stakeholder engagement across multiple organizations.
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
- 3+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi‑tier web services.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements and describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
