Contract Aluminum Welder

Pay: $30–$32 per hour + $150 per diem (7 days/week)

Location: Vancouver, WA 98661

We are hiring Aluminum Welders for the Maneuver Support Vessel (MSV) project, which involves building 32 vessels over the next 10 years. This is a 2-year contract with per diem included. These vessels are being constructed for the U.S. Army and will transport military vehicles. Weld testing will take place in Vancouver, WA.

• Perform aluminum welding and fabrication in multiple positions.
• Read and interpret blueprints; follow precise welding specifications.
• Execute MIG welding (required) and pulse arc welding (preferred).
• Work on large-scale aluminum components both in and out of position.

• Minimum 2 years of aluminum welding experience (MIG or TIG).
• Ability to describe prior experience and successfully pass a weld test.
• Pulse arc experience and multi‑position welding preferred.

• Work in a clean, modern shop specializing in aluminum fabrication.
• Projects include government structures: bridges, dams, nuclear sites, boats, and barges.
• Day Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

• Uphill beads in 3G and 4G positions using MIG (3/64" wire) to D1.2 standard (pulse arc).
