Opportunity Description

Seattle Central College is looking to hire a Director of Facilities & Plant Operations in the Facilities department.

Salary Range for this position is $87,362 to $120,644 annually (depending on experience). Opportunity is open until filled; first review of materials will begin March 31, 2026.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Administrative Services (VPAS), the Director of Facilities and Plant Operations is responsible for planning, coordinating, assessing, and directing the building maintenance, alteration, repair, capital projects, equipment maintenance, and custodial and grounds operations activities of Seattle Central College and its associated locations in a safe, cost‑efficient, and customer‑service‑oriented manner to support the College’s strategic goals and mission.

The Director provides administrative support to the VPAS and College leadership in coordinating activities with internal and external organizations and agencies on matters pertaining to the effective functionality of the buildings, grounds, and plant operations of the College. The incumbent must exercise sound independent judgment in the execution of assigned responsibilities and be able to meet deadlines under minimal supervision.

They shall be expected to conduct themselves with the highest level of ethics, integrity, honesty, and confidentiality.

This position supervises exempt‑unrepresented, exempt‑represented, classified, student, work‑study, and temporary employees.

This position is full‑time, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position works 100% of the time on‑site.
