Salary range is $81k to $170k with a midpoint of $118k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

PURPOSE:
Under general direction from Field Activity management, the Training Program Manager manages all aspects of the overall formal Field Activity Specialist Team (FAST) training program, to include the classroom‑based FAST Field Training Academy and the 12‑week FAST field training program. Responsible for identifying and addressing FAST Academy training needs and agency safety training needs in collaboration with subject matter experts. Responsible for developing, testing, deploying, and tracking compliance for a variety of initial and recurring security, first aid, counter terrorism, crime prevention, and public and agency safety training programs and curricula.
Also identifies and evaluates new training courses/opportunities to increase team performance.
While the FAST Training Program Manager manages the overall training program, they also coordinate, collaborate and provide administrative direction to FAST Field Training personnel. Actively tracks weekly, monthly, and other training milestones, as well as candidate progression within the field training program and FAST Academy. Manages FAST training records in concert with the agency Learning Management System (LMS), offering support and maintenance of content, assets, and other resources used for instructional functions.
Serves as the point of contact between the Public Safety and the agency Learning & Development team for training programs and module development and management.
This position is expected to manage the training needs of over 70 operational personnel working across multiple zone‑based locations. Proper management and development of all aspects of FAST training programs is critical for program success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The following duties are a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position‑specific duties.
- Manages all aspects of the formal FAST classroom (“FAST Academy”) and field‑based training programs, to include content and curricula development and review, classroom, instructor, and training scheduling, instructional materials review and preparation, and training records management. Training involves not only FAST specific operational activities (patrols, report writing, data gathering, vehicle towing program, crowd management, security radio operations and procedures, Computer Aided Dispatch usage, etc.),
