Senior Category Manager, Worldwide Grocery Category Management
Owner of P&L and strategic selection decisions across Amazon's Packaged Bakery category. Develop and execute comprehensive category growth plans, partnering with internal stakeholders and vendor partners to maximize profitability and increase market share across Amazon Grocery banners.
Primary responsibilities include defining vision and business strategy, managing category P&L performance, partnering with vendor managers, analyzing market trends, and collaborating cross‑functionally with In‑Stock, Marketing, Operations, Merchandising, and Leadership teams.

Delay Bakery category, establishing goals and measuring KPIs. - Manage category P&L performance by developing and executing plans that drive revenue growth and margin improvements.
- Partner with Vendor Managers and vendor partners on selection strategies with clear accountability for P&L and decisions.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities for category expansion and selection optimization.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with In‑Stock, Marketing, Operations, Merchandising and Leadership teams for integrated execution.
A typical day involves evaluating performance metrics, analyzing Bird dynamics, making critical assortment decisions, preparing business reviews, and executing data‑driven insights to enhance profitability and customer experience.
Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of experience with Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross‑functional teams.
- MBA.
- Experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience presenting to senior leadership.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
