King County Superior Court is accepting applications for a full‑time Court Operations Technician I position. Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, KCSC is nationally recognized for innovation and serves the country's 12th most populous county.
Who may applyThis position is open only to regular and temporary employees who are currently on the King County payroll. Candidates may be placed on an eligibility list for future recruitments.
Work locationThe position is primarily located at the King County Courthouse in Seattle but may also be required to work at other Superior Court facilities as needed.
Work schedule and termsThe position is hourly (overtime‑eligible) and subject to the FLSA overtime provisions. It is a full‑time, benefit‑eligible position working a 35‑hour workweek. Hours vary between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The following summarizes the job functions:
- Provide jury‑program‑specific information to the public and internal/external customers.
- Coordinate activities with court customers, management, co‑workers, contractors, and other agencies.
- Interview and screen customers to determine program‑specific documentation and services needed. Provide technical assistance and/or training to co‑workers and customers.
- Determine validity, correctness and completeness of information received.
- Establish, maintain, modify, track and/or retrieve information and compile data requiring info searches.
- Handle multiple‑step transactions.
- Compose, draft, summarize, prepare, proofread and/or edit documents.
- Provide safety information to customers and co‑workers.
- May perform monetary transactions; make daily deposits; perform customer tracking functions.
- May represent the organization at various functions and make presentations.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature and level.
- High school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience performing general information processing adequate for the essential duties.
- Proficiency with various computer software, including Microsoft Office and database management. Ability to learn specialized software.

Special requirements: Ability to reliably travel throughout the county. Finalists subject to Washington State Patrol criminal background check and reference check.
