Commercial Banking Center Manager

Overview

Banner Bank, a leader in the banking industry for over 135 years, is seeking a Commercial Banking Center Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive growth in the business market. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, managing complex credits, and creating a high‑performing work environment.

• Develop and execute sales, marketing, and business development strategies for the Commercial Banking Center.
• Lead and mentor a team of commercial lenders to build profitable relationships with business customers.
• Monitor and manage large and complex credits across diverse industries and loan types.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and proactively identify opportunities to meet client needs.
• Create a positive work environment that fosters career growth and job satisfaction.
• Manage income and expense budgets for the center.
• Resolve customer issues effectively and build strong relationships outside the team.
• Promote the bank and its services through community involvement.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).
• 8 or more years of experience in all phases of commercial lending in the local market (Required).
• 6 or more years of supervisory or management experience (Required).
• Proven leadership and team‑building skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and drive change.
• Excellent credit skills and ability to structure, monitor, and manage complex loans across industries.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting.
• Exceptional sales, negotiation, problem‑solving, and relationship management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to commercial lending.

• Targeted starting salary range (based on experience): $210,000 - $225,000
