Overview
Banner Bank, a leader in the banking industry for over 135 years, is seeking a Commercial Banking Center Manager to lead a dynamic team and drive growth in the business market. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, managing complex credits, and creating a high‑performing work environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales, marketing, and business development strategies for the Commercial Banking Center.
- Lead and mentor a team of commercial lenders to build profitable relationships with business customers.
- Monitor and manage large and complex credits across diverse industries and loan types.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and proactively identify opportunities to meet client needs.
- Create a positive work environment that fosters career growth and job satisfaction.
- Manage income and expense budgets for the center.
- Resolve customer issues effectively and build strong relationships outside the team.
- Promote the bank and its services through community involvement.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).
- 8 or more years of experience in all phases of commercial lending in the local market (Required).
- 6 or more years of supervisory or management experience (Required).
- Proven leadership and team‑building skills with the ability to mentor, motivate, and drive change.
- Excellent credit skills and ability to structure, monitor, and manage complex loans across industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and budgeting.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, problem‑solving, and relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Understanding of federal and state laws and regulations related to commercial lending.
- Targeted starting salary range (based on experience): $210,000 - $225,000
