The opportunity
Within EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution sub service line, Deal Management works on complex, high-profile global transactions across a broad client base and industry sectors. We are a team of experienced professionals with a background in operations who are serial transaction advisers, bringing deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans, identify value-enhancing opportunities, and advise on risk mitigation and the successful change of operations, functions, and people.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Director with EY-Parthenon's Strategy and Execution Deal Management practice, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing operationally focused projects. You will lead and manage projects across all sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions. Your role will involve working on a range of engagements, including pre-deal (e.g., operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (e.g., integration planning, tracking).
A commercial mindset is essential for this consulting-based role.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
- MBA is preferred.
- Significant management consulting experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
- Experience in business integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs with strong quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
- Ability to assess technology, operations, or manufacturing infrastructure in detail.
- Ability to synthesize approaches to complex integration/divestiture conflicts.
- Ability to prioritize effectively on projects and adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to build lasting internal and external relationships.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary.
Ideally, you will also have
- A proven record of excellence in mergers or acquisitions transactions.
- Experience in another large professional services organization.
- Established networking skills in a relevant industry.

What We Offer You
- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $205,000 to $235,000. Total Rewards includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off options.
- Hybrid model: most client-facing work is expected in person 40-60% of the time over engagements.
