Connection on Broadway has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician. Our team members are high performers that care about customer service and exceed expectations. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in our success.
LocationLocated in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, Connection on Broadway is a brand new 318 unit mid-rise built above the LINK Light Rail stop. This building provides many affordable apartments and has a community focus, hosting events and leveraging open spaces for community activities.
What your day might look like- Being part of a team and providing excellent customer service
- Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner (including appliance repairs)
- Prepare apartments for new move-ins by completing the “make-ready” process
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas
- Assist with vendor management and other duties
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment
- Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Previous experience with painting, entry level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing
- High level of professionalism in both manner and dress
- Excellent communication skills: ability to read, write and communicate effectively
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service, preventative maintenance, and repairs in accordance with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
- Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins; conducts pre-move-out inspection, creates a punch list, schedules vendors, and ensures tasks are completed.
- Manages materials and inventory, follows procedures for obtaining items, and notifies the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
- Documents and files service requests for accurate tracking and reporting.
- Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning, painting curbs and signage as needed.
- Supports cost-cutting and expense control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials responsibly.
- Complies with Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies by attending safety meetings, completing required OSHA-related training, and reporting accidents promptly.
- Periodically inspects work performed by contractors to verify quality standards.
- Assists in conducting routine and periodic property inspections to identify safety and risk management concerns and communicate needs to management.
- EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant handling (Applies to Certified Service Technicians).
- All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (Applies to all Service Technicians).
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
The hourly range for this position is $23.75 - $27.00.
Additional Compensation- Corporate Positions:
Eligible for quarterly or annual bonus programs based on performance. - Onsite Property Positions:
Eligible for weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
