Factory Service Attendant

Boeing invites applicants for a 2nd Shift Factory Service Attendant (Custodian) role to maintain clean, hygienic conditions across its facilities. This position offers a pathway to internal career growth within a diverse, inclusive environment.

Job Description
As a Factory Service Attendant, you will help clean and maintain Boeing facilities, ensuring a safe and healthful workspace. You will work in offices, factories, cafeterias, fitness centers, restrooms, and transportation tunnels. The role also includes handling hazardous materials as required, following detailed cleaning procedures, and operating cleaning equipment.

• Work in all company facilities and environments such as offices, factories, cafeterias, fitness centers, restrooms, and transportation tunnels
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials using approved methods; blood‑borne pathogen cleanup as required (training provided)
• Use chemicals and cleaning agents appropriately; maintain supplies and knowledge of proper storage
• Perform routine custodial tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, detailing offices, conference rooms, stairways, restrooms, and emptying trash
• Operate backpack‑style vacuums; vacuum or sweep all traffic areas, offices, aisles, transportation tunnels, stairs, and stairwells; reposition furniture as needed
• Thoroughly clean restrooms; disinfect and clean all floor surfaces; operate and move standard approved machinery for cleaning, including hard‑floor care and carpet extraction implements
• Follow specific detailed instructions, processes, and procedures, both written and verbal
• Work independently with little direct supervision; collaborate with others when needed
• Perform physical tasks including reaching overhead up to six hours per day, walking constantly, standing 6–8 hours per day, climbing or working from stairs up to 8 hours per day, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, and using low‑impact vibratory tools as required

• Able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds; push/pull using up to 45 pounds of force; reach overhead up to six hours per day
• Valid driver’s license
• High school graduate or GED

• 1+ year of janitorial/custodial experience
• 1+ year of experience working with hazardous materials
• 1+ year of experience following written and verbal work instructions

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinists (IAM‑751) Collective Bargaining agreement.

Salary Range
