Supply Chain Strategy & Performance Advisor
Contract Length: 12+ months
OverviewA global development initiative is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Strategy & Performance Advisor to support improvements in health product supply chains across large, low?resource countries. The role focuses on strengthening data systems, performance management, and end?to?end supply chain strategies to support large?scale program delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Assess national supply chain capabilities and identify gaps in data visibility, infrastructure, and operational processes.
- Develop and implement scalable supply chain strategies tailored to low?resource, high?population environments.
- Strengthen forecasting, inventory management, logistics monitoring, and other core data and performance systems.
- Establish or enhance KPI frameworks and performance management tools, including dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
- Provide advisory support to government stakeholders and implementing partners.
- Collaborate with internal strategy and technical teams to align supply chain improvements with broader program objectives.
- Support scale?up efforts to ensure systems can handle increased health product volumes.
- Build local capacity through coaching and knowledge transfer.
Required Qualifications (Must?
Haves)
- Significant experience managing supply chains in low?resource settings.
- Expertise in health product supply chains and previous advisory or consulting work in public health.
- Strong private?sector supply chain background with high?volume operational experience.
- Experience working with African countries.
- Strong ability to navigate complex government, NGO, and multi?stakeholder environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice?to?
Haves)
- Experience working with major global health programs such as PEPFAR or USAID.
- Familiarity with large?scale health system strengthening initiatives.
- Experience in national?level strategy or transformation projects.
