AboutThe Role
We are hiring a Senior Director, Supply Chain Planning & Procurement to build and scale Nscale’s end‑to‑end hardware planning, procurement, inventory, and production scheduling capabilities.
Reporting to the SVP of Supply Chain, this executive leader will drive operational reliability across all hardware builds, ensure on‑time delivery, unify planning processes across sites, and oversee procurement execution across all hardware categories — including expanding management of IT equipment.
You will lead a high‑performing team of planners, schedulers, buyers, and procurement leaders (6–12 team members), ensuring that the right materials arrive at the right place, at the right time — with appropriate buffers — while enabling rapid company scale.
This role is critical to supporting Nscale’s global AI infrastructure expansion and hyperscale growth trajectory.
What you’ll be doingPlanning & Execution Leadership
- Own the end‑to‑end supply chain planning process for all hardware builds, including capacity planning, material planning, demand/supply matching, and production scheduling.
- Ensure on‑time delivery across all builds through structured buffers, lead‑time modeling, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Build and implement standardized planning processes across multiple sites and product lines.
- Oversee planning for both core hardware infrastructure and expanding IT equipment requirements.
- Lead the procurement function responsible for all purchase order (PO) execution, supplier confirmation, expediting, and PO lifecycle management.
- Ensure timely PO issuance and compliance with financial controls through close partnership with Finance.
- Drive supplier performance across cost, delivery, and quality in coordination with Strategic Sourcing.
- Own daily and weekly build schedule reviews with internal teams and contract manufacturers.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels, safety stocks, and buffers across global locations.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and support cycle‑count and audit processes.
- Collaborate closely with TPMs and Engineering teams on BOM changes, configuration updates, and new material introductions (NPI).
- Ensure planning and procurement processes adapt rapidly to engineering updates and configuration shifts.
- Align cross‑functional teams to prevent material shortages, schedule slips, or build interruptions.
- Establish and maintain a rigorous operational cadence, including S&OP, supply reviews, build meetings, and escalation forums.
- Partner with Supply Chain Analytics to integrate forecasts, dashboards, and supply visibility into execution workflows.
- Work closely with Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Quality, TPMs, and Data Center Run teams to ensure execution meets company goals.
- Identify supply risks (capacity constraints, inventory gaps, supplier limitations) and drive early mitigation plans.
- Implement and track KPIs across service levels, supplier performance, inventory turns, and schedule adherence.
