Latitude Legal is partnering with a highly regarded boutique tax and estate planning law firm in the Seattle area to identify an experienced Estate Planning & Probate Attorney to join the firm’s growing practice on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney who is conscientious, resourceful, and motivated to work through complex estate and tax planning matters while serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
This is not a learn-as-you-go role. The firm is seeking an attorney with a strong foundation in estate planning who is eager to continue growing professionally within a collaborative, high-performing team.

In this role, the Estate Planning & Probate Attorney will work closely with partners, paralegals, and other professionals to deliver high-quality estate planning and probate services to individuals and business owners with sophisticated needs, with opportunities for leadership, client development, and long-term professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters, including related tax considerations.
- Draft, review, and advise on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives, and related estate planning documents.
- Consult directly with clients to understand their personal, financial, and family circumstances and develop thoughtful, strategic estate plans tailored to their goals.
- Guide clients through probate and trust administration processes, including preparing and filing court petitions, inventories, and managing distributions.
- Represent clients effectively in probate court hearings and related proceedings, as needed.
- Educate clients on estate planning options related to retirement planning, charitable giving, insurance, and wealth transfer strategies.
- Collaborate closely with paralegals, senior partners, and other team members to manage workflow, client communications, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver integrated estate and tax planning solutions.
- Utilize sophisticated estate planning document preparation software (experience with Wealth Counsel is a plus).
- Stay current on developments in estate planning, probate, trust, and related tax law.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Washington State, in good standing with the Washington State Bar.
- 3–5+ years of experience providing estate planning, probate, and trust administration services.
- Strong understanding of estate planning concepts, including tax implications.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in emotionally sensitive or high-stress situations.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload, meet deadlines, and balance legal rigor with practical, business-minded solutions.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
- Proficiency with technology and legal software tools.
- Naturally curious, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative and thoughtful in developing value-added solutions for clients.
- Dependable, accountable, flexible, and open to professional challenges.
- Tax experience or CPA background preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with real estate-related matters, including title insurance, property issues, and related litigation preferred but not mandatory.

The base salary for this position is $150,000+ depending on experience.
