Overview
Established Seattle immigration law firm seeks associate attorney.
Responsibilities- Represent clients in the detained and non-detained immigration courts and on appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals
- Represent clients before USCIS in a wide variety applications including asylum, adjustment of status, naturalization, U visas, T visas, VAWA petitions, among others
- Represent clients determined to be judicially incompetent and assigned to our office for legal counsel
- Manage a large caseload, sometimes under tight deadlines
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Technical fluency in Microsoft Office 365, G Suite
- Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to multi task and work independently
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to meet deadlines
- Prefer prior immigration law firm experience but will consider candidates with experience in/demonstrated interest in immigration
- Must have ability to travel to detention center in Tacoma (mileage reimbursed by office)
