I’m partnering with a top-tier law firm to identify a Patent Prosecution Associate with an Electrical Engineering background (semiconductors / chip architecture / integrated circuits). This is a Seattle-based hybrid role (two in-office days per week) with relocation assistance available.
What You’ll Do- Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications in EE-related technologies, including semiconductor devices, chip architecture, and integrated circuits
- Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and landscape analyses to support client counseling and IP strategy
- Collaborate directly with clients, inventors, and in-house teams to understand innovations and align patent strategy with business goals
- Draft and respond to Office Actions
, manage prosecution matters, and maintain a disciplined docket - Partner with attorneys, agents, and support staff to ensure high-quality work product and efficient workflow
- Contribute to long-term portfolio development and protection through practical, business-minded recommendations
- 3–5 years of patent prosecution experience (law firm and/or in-house)
- Active bar membership (good standing) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- USPTO registration required
$200,000–$240,000 (commensurate with experience)
