A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level associate to join the Commercial Disputes practice in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in litigation and the capability to manage cases independently from inception to resolution. Exceptional legal writing, analysis, strategic thinking, and advocacy skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties
  • Manage complex litigation matters from start to finish, including legal research and drafting pleadings.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and all aspects of discovery.
  • Prepare and argue motions and briefs before state and federal courts.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and negotiate settlements when appropriate.
  • Stay current on legal developments and best practices in litigation.
  • Participate in trial with trial teams.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • 5-7 years of experience in litigation law, with a focus on commercial litigation preferred.
  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings and conducting discovery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with electronic discovery and litigation support tools preferred.
Education
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
