On site | Network Engineer V (Washington) — Up to $120/hr

We are sharing a specialised remote opportunity for experienced Network Engineers with deep expertise in IP and Optical network deployments. This role supports large-scale infrastructure initiatives within a major technology organization, focusing on network deployment, operational excellence, and program execution.

The Network Engineer will provide technical leadership and operational oversight across complex network deployment programs, ensuring that infrastructure projects are delivered on schedule, meet performance standards, and align with operational goals.

• Provide technical and operational guidance for IP or Optical network deployment programs
• Ensure network deployment projects are delivered on time and with high quality
• Lead technical discussions with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
• Identify risks, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvements in deployment strategies
• Build and execute comprehensive deployment programs including scope, schedules, and resource planning
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as deployment speed, quality, efficiency, and SLA adherence
• Manage relationships with vendors and partners delivering network infrastructure services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including data center engineers, network engineers, and operations teams
• Maintain reporting and communication with leadership on program performance, risks, and opportunities

• Bachelors degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in IP or Optical network deployment
• Proven experience delivering large-scale network infrastructure projects
• Deep technical expertise in IP networking protocols, architectures, and technologies
• Strong program management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced infrastructure environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with data-driven decision making

• Work on large-scale network infrastructure programs supporting critical technology platforms
• Partner with engineering and operations teams on high-impact network deployments
• Influence infrastructure strategy through technical leadership and operational excellence
