The Data Center Development department is responsible for supporting the company's fast growth by sourcing and building hyper-scale data centers as well as vastly distributed global edge networks. Our AMS&EU Network Acquisition team focuses on the acquisition of co-locations and various network connectivities from the strategy and commercial angle to support edge and backbone network infrastructure that enable users to interact with our platform with optimal performance in Americas and EMEA region.
As we interact with various partners in this industry, we also develop and maintain relationships and strategic partnerships with suppliers. Also, as we develop our acquisition strategy, we conduct market research, manage the potential and existing supplier pool, cost analysis and supplier performance evaluation to build our roadmap for the acquisition effort to support our growth. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about global infrastructure acquisition with exciting growth opportunities.
We are looking for a self-motivated server and storage hardware architect and technology planning expert.
- Securing various infrastructure resources such as co-location and connectivity services (dark fiber, transport network, IP, etc.) from commercial angle to fulfill and support our traffic demand
- Lead commercial and technical negotiations with candidate suppliers
- Negotiate and implement complex supplier agreements and contracts working with cross‑functional teams to meet the deliverables on milestone dates
- Develop and manage acquisition strategies and tactics for the short, mid and long term
- Cross functional collaboration with various stakeholders, including but not limited to Strategy, Planning, Engineering, Legal, Finance, etc.
- Conduct market research, build market intelligence, select and onboard qualified suppliers and manage the supplier lifecycle
- Maintain a sustainable relationship and develop strategic partnerships with suppliers to deliver business goals and objectives
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a business, technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years experience in infrastructure industry for the acquisition, sourcing, engineering, finance or other relevant technical and business functions
- Work experience with the Edge Co-locations, Data Center, and/or ISP / Carrier / Contents Delivery Network / IX providers in North American and Latin American markets
- Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations
- Project management, concise communication skills with cross functional stakeholders, and logical/analytical reasoning
- Work proficiency of using Office Applications, Jira and other contract platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct acquisition and sourcing experience with the Edge Co-locations, Data Center, and/or ISP / Carrier / Contents Delivery Network / IX providers in North American and Latin American markets
- Strong commercial, technical and contractual terms and conditions negotiations with suppliers with proven track records
- Strong business, commercial and technical acumen with analytical approaches for decision making processes
- Always Day 1 and willingness mindset of dealing with various challenging projects
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $148770 - $307800 annually.
CompensationCompensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
