Senior Director, Product Management – Compute and AI Infrastructure Job Description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers high-performance, secure, and scalable compute and AI infrastructure for mission-critical workloads. We are seeking a Senior Director (M5) to lead the Compute Product Management organization, the single-threaded owner for OCI’s compute shapes portfolio across general purpose, dense/storage optimized, HPC, and GPUs. This leader will define multi-year hardware strategy and roadmaps, drive NPI business cases with Capacity, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Engineering, own pricing and BOMs across CPU and GPU shapes, and partner closely with engineering to deliver world-class compute and AI infrastructure products at scale.

Strategy and roadmap

Own the 1–3 year product strategy and roadmap for all Compute shapes (general purpose, dense/storage optimized, HPC, and GPUs).

Define roadmaps aligned with customer needs, market trends, and OCI priorities.

Develop and communicate product narratives, PRs, and external blogs to articulate value and differentiation.

Hardware and economics

Own hardware BOMs for CPU and GPU portfolios; build marginal cost and TCO models; set portfolio pricing across CPU and GPU shapes.

Lead NPI business cases across Capacity Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Engineering.

Conduct regular business reviews with leadership on adoption, service cost, and revenue.

Product delivery and lifecycle

Partner with engineering to translate customer and market requirements into clear specifications; ensure delivery from concept through GA.

Manage lifecycle transitions, sustaining strategies, deprecations/EOL, and compatibility guidance across the portfolio.

Collaborate with operations teams to handle supply constraints, allocation, and continuity plans to ensure product availability.

Customer, field, and go-to-market

Engage with strategic customers to gather requirements, validate designs, and drive adoption.

Enable field/sales, solutions engineering, and marketing with product documentation, positioning, competitive insights, demos, training, and references.

Serve as spokesperson for OCI Compute shapes at industry events, analyst briefings, and customer engagements.

Cross-functional leadership

Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Capacity/Operations, Networking, Data Center, Security, Finance, and Support for hardware deployments, software enablement, and operational readiness.

Establish portfolio-level governance and dashboards for adoption, availability/latency, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Team leadership

Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing PM team; set goals, develop talent, and foster a customer-centric, data-driven culture.

Create clarity in ambiguous domains and standardize best practices across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

12+ years of product management with significant hardware product ownership; cloud provider or large-scale infrastructure experience strongly preferred.

Proven success defining and shipping compute hardware products (CPUs, GPUs, memory, SSD/NVMe), with deep familiarity with vendor ecosystems (AMD, Intel, Nvidia, Ampere).

Strong command of SKUs/BOMs, marginal cost modeling, pricing, and TCO.

Demonstrated experience building multi-year roadmaps, managing lifecycle transitions, and executing complex cross-functional programs at scale.

Customer-facing leadership with the ability to engage executives and deeply technical stakeholders; excellent written and verbal communication.

Technical depth in cloud infrastructure, HPC workloads, accelerators, and high-performance networking (e.g., RDMA).

BS in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications

Experience leading PM teams focused on compute shapes or adjacent infrastructure portfolios.

Familiarity with data center operations, capacity/supply planning, and vendor/supply-chain dynamics.

Strong analytical mindset with a track record of improving unit economics and adoption through data-driven decisions.

Thought leadership presence: blogs, PRs, conference talks, analyst engagements.
