As our Corporate Counsel, you'll be at the forefront of developing legal strategies that enable Amazon's transportation and logistics business to innovate while maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will help us navigate complex legal landscapes, mitigate risks, and create flexible solutions that empower our business to move quickly and effectively.

• Drive road safety and compliance strategies across multiple business units
• Provide comprehensive legal counsel that balances risk management with business flexibility
• Develop innovative mechanisms to address complex legal and operational challenges
• Collaborate with internal teams to create proactive compliance frameworks
• Offer strategic guidance on emerging legal and technological considerations in transportation safety

Your day will be far from typical legal work. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, diving deep into road safety challenges, analyzing intricate compliance issues, and crafting creative legal approaches that balance business needs with regulatory requirements. Expect to engage in strategic problem-solving, provide nuanced legal guidance, and play a pivotal role in shaping Amazon's transportation safety protocols.

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal counsel in complex business environments
• Proven track record of developing innovative legal solutions in situations with unusually high degrees of ambiguity
• Ability to communicate with and influence senior leaders, both verbally and in writing
• Experience managing high-impact customer and business initiatives
• Strong background in risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Experience in litigation a plus
• Regulatory law experience a plus
• Experience in workplace safety a plus

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
