Prioritize, schedule, and execute network changes and upgrades across Amazon Data Centers. Manage cross-functional projects, and work with multiple AWS internal departments and groups including network operations, network engineering staff, and internal project management teams, as well as external vendors. Develop and manage project schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders. Define problem solving and risk mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution through the full project cycle.
Monitor the network infrastructure health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate. Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes. Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs as needed. Participate in the hiring process as well as mentor others. Manage multiple competing cross-organizational projects/programs simultaneously.
Interact with engineers, technicians, project managers and senior management on a daily basis. Analyze, interpret, and visualize data, with Redshift, Oracle, Tableau, Quick Sight, Redshift, and other BI management and visualization tools. Drive automation initiatives and simplification efforts in engineering, project/program management, and architectures to unblock innovation and create predictable process paths.
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology/Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, Network Administration or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have five years of experience in the following skills:
- Project management experience;
- Data Center or Network Deployment experience.
