Senior ETL​/Data Migration Consultant

Job Description

The ETL/Business Intelligence Consultant will lead a major platform‑to‑platform data migration project extracting data from JDE and transforming and mapping it into SQL Server, building queries, joins, data sets and population migration templates. Strong SQL and some automation experience with Python or Power Shell is key. HRIS project experience is highly preferred.

• Should be skilled in T‑SQL and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Lead the data conversion and cleaning process, converting existing data in JD Edwards Enterprise One into Dayforce format to move data from JDE1 to Dayforce. This could be any data conversion experience.
• Work closely with the internal and external colleagues/partners to understand current data structures, formats, and content.
• Clean and preprocess data by handling errors, duplicates and inconsistencies.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process
• Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and inconsistencies
• Develop understanding of the external partner's data requirements
• Ability to load converted data into the targeted system
• Develop and maintain Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) processes for continuous data migration
• Collaborate with IT Team members, partners & other stakeholders to assist with resolving issues and to ensure successful data migrations.
• Provide/communicate updates, concerns, and recommendations
• Document data conversion processes, mappings, and transformation rules, which is crucial for auditability and future reference.
• Share knowledge, best practices, and suggest future improvements and knows the best practices in data migration and SQL.
