WhoYou’ll Work With
As part of the Sales Engineering team, you will report to the Regional Engineering Manager and collaborate with field engineers, Product Management, Software Development, and the Arista TAC. You will play a pivotal role in steering product development, ensuring alignment with customer goals, and leading innovations in the industry.
What You’ll Do- Provide advanced post‑sales engineering support for Arista’s Open Networking Data Center and Campus deployments for enterprise and commercial customers.
- Review customer network designs for EVPN, VxLAN, leaf‑spine architecture and recommend deployment strategies for operational efficiency.
- Migrate or interconnect customer networks from Cisco, Juniper, and other vendors to Arista infrastructure.
- Assist with configuration build‑outs, including automation with Python and Ansible.
- Lead POC and in‑depth testing to validate design scenarios.
- Facilitate communication between TAC, internal development teams, and customers.
- Advising customers on architectural questions, product prerequisites and features.
- Translate complex business requirements into leaf‑spine network architectures.
- Support Pre‑Sales Engineers and Account Executives in designing network solutions.
- Attend partner events, training sessions, and provide ongoing customer training globally.
- Understand clients’ business objectives and technical needs; communicate across all functions.
- Meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for sales and clients.
- Maintain professional relationships with teammates, partners, and customers.
- Travel as required within the assigned territory.
- Preferred certifications such as ACE‑L4, ACE‑L6, ACE‑L7, and others.
- 7+ years of experience in network design and deployment (Campus and Data Center). Minimum 5 years with Cisco‑based technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, ASR).
- Knowledge of leaf‑spine architectures highly desired.
- Experience in technical post‑sales as a network consulting or advanced systems engineer.
- Expert in Ethernet, VLANs, VxLAN, EVPN, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP/eBGP, multicast, QoS, WAN, and network observability.
- Strong scripting skills in Perl, Python, or similar for network automation.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
The base salary for this role ranges from $113,000 to $175,000, with additional incentives such as discretionary bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, wellness, tax savings, and income protection). Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and U.S. location. Recruitment staff can provide further details during the hiring process.
