Overview

The Systems Administrator role for Centerline Logistics works to recommend, deploy and maintain IT systems, applications, and infrastructure across all sites and vessels. This role serves as Tier 3 helpdesk, supporting technical issues and project life cycles, as well as POC for all backend processes and applications.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and support long‑term IT strategies.
  • Implement systems using industry best practices in compliance with CLL processes.
  • Deploy, manage and improve hardware, software, applications and network services.
  • Ensure data integrity, security and compliance.
  • Perform audits, backups, restores and troubleshooting.
  • Support application development and analyze performance.
  • Recommend and implement upgrades and improvements.
  • Document processes and configurations.
  • Mentor helpdesk staff and provide top‑tier support.
  • Participate in emergency on‑call schedule.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with VMWare, Azure, Entra, Meraki, Sophos, Office
    365.
  • Experience with IIS, SQL, Veeam, SharePoint.
  • Programming (ASP, TSQL, Power Shell, scripting).
  • Hardware/software troubleshooting.
  • Documentation and process maintenance.
  • Proficient in Windows, enterprise networking and Microsoft products.
  • Willing to travel to ships and shipyards.
  • Must pass background checks for port access.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in high‑pressure environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication; customer service focus.
  • Research hardware/software issues and present solutions clearly.
  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Job Condition and Environment
  • Infrequent light physical effort required.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC upon hire.
Expected Hours of Work
  • Normal office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or equivalent.
  • May be required to travel domestically.
