Quality Assurance Tech I - Prime Video, Playback Testing Solutions, Prime Video
We are looking for an experienced QA tech to drive manual and automated testing within Prime Video Playback services across a broad technology stack. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the future of the Prime Video playback experience on Live Sports, Movies and TV Shows.
You will work with QA Engineers, SDEs and SDETS to understand features and technical implementation. You will also work with groups such as Product Management, UX designers to understand customer usage models and develop test plans and suites that approximate real‑world environments and regression tests driving the software development process toward quality‑centric methodologies. In this role, you will be responsible to execute both manual and automated tests against test customer facing features.

Prime Video is a first‑stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports – including Amazon MGM Studios‑produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add‑on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+.
All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.

As a Prime Video technologist, you’ll have end‑to‑end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state‑of‑the‑art experiences for our customers. Key job responsibilities- Test Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and product releases. - Bug Identification and Resolution:
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects. - Automation tooling:
Execute, debug, and maintain automated tests on iOS, Android, Web, and Living Room Clients to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. - Continuous Improvement:
Actively participate in retrospectives and contribute to process improvements to enhance overall product quality.
Playback Testing Solutions is responsible for maintaining the quality of the Prime Video Playback experience across all player types and technology stacks. We operate multiple test labs for both manual and automated testing and engage in testing the most critical features and product launches. Our work directly improves the viewing experience of millions of Amazon customers on a daily basis.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of software QA testing work with writing the test plans, use cases, and issue reports experience
- 1+ year executing software test automation, debugging failures, and triaging results
- Experience with testing consumer devices
