Director, Software Development - Data Storage Innovation

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking an experienced and visionary Director to lead our Data Storage Innovation efforts for our AI Infrastructure platform. In this strategic role, you will guide the evaluation and integration of cutting‑edge distributed data storage services, influence the future of OCI’s AI infrastructure roadmap, and collaborate closely with key customers and partners to prototype the next generation of platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high‑impact engineering team focused on rapid innovation.

• Evaluate and experiment with emerging infrastructure technologies and develop the next generation offerings of OCI’s AI Platform.

• Partner with product and engineering teams to translate R&D findings into actionable strategies that enhance OCI’s AI platform capabilities.

• Launch and drive joint innovation pilots in collaboration with strategic customers and ecosystem partners.

• Influence cross‑functional stakeholders and OCI leadership by providing thought leadership in AI infrastructure trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical innovation teams in Data Storage, Database and Distributed Systems domains.

• Demonstrated success driving prototyping initiatives from concept through implementation in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence executive and cross‑functional teams.

• 10+ years of engineering or R&D experience, with significant leadership in infrastructure, or systems architecture.

Compensation

US:
Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 - $291,800 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
