Lead Applications Analyst – Epic ASAP
Job Description Lead Applications Analyst – Epic ASAP position at UW Medicine IT Services (ITS), a shared services organization supporting all UW Medicine facilities. The role is 100% remote, full‑time, FTE, with day shift (8:00 – 5:00 PST). Core responsibilities include analyzing customer requirements, designing and implementing enhancements, production support, project documentation, workload management, escalation handling, service improvement, mentoring, and representing the team to customers.
Responsibilities- Analyze customer business and technical requirements and recommend solutions.
- Design, build, test, and implement enhancements to meet functional requirements.
- Provide production support, ongoing system troubleshooting, maintenance, monitoring, and training.
- Develop projects, processes, and documentation to support customer needs.
- Prioritize and distribute workload throughout the team, manage day‑to‑day workflow, and report status to the manager.
- Serve as point of escalation for operational and service issues.
- Propose and identify service management improvements.
- Coach, mentor, and advise team on work techniques and best practices.
- Represent the team to customers, project managers, technical leadership, and organizational management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Information Systems, Math, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of experience/education.
- Epic ASAP certification (required).
- 5+ years of experience, including: 3+ years with application/system configuration and implementation of clinical information systems; 1+ year of formal mentorship for technology professionals; experience coaching and mentoring; strategic product/service planning; translating complex business requirements into design specifications; maintaining workflow and documentation.
- Emergency transport services experience desired.
