AWS Security Services is redefining how enterprises protect their cloud-based applications and services. We are innovating in cloud security with services like Amazon Guard Duty, Amazon Security Hub, Amazon Inspector, and Amazon Security Lake. We are growing and seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to own innovative new products that help customers protect workloads and services on AWS. Responsibilities- As the Principal Product Manager, Tech for external customer-facing AWS Security Services, define strategy and product vision through feature definition, roadmap prioritization, positioning, naming, GTM/adoption, and financial metrics.
- Lead with a passion for solving customer problems, translating ambiguous customer needs into disruptive, successful products that delight customers.
- Interact with customers (including senior executives) daily, coordinate across multiple internal and external teams, and collaborate with customers, partners, software vendors, and operational stakeholders to prioritize roadmap features.
- Spearhead the definition of new capabilities through expertly crafted business requirements documents and ensure alignment with the highest levels of the company.
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving, strong business judgment, and the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Execute strategically and tactically on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry-defining, with a solid technical background and a customer focus on security and cloud technology.
- Shape 3-5 year strategic vision and technical roadmaps for AWS Security Services.
- Review complex service design decisions across distributed systems and security architectures.
- Drive technical innovation in security services and identify service dependencies and efficiency improvements across the AWS ecosystem.
- Own business and product definition for major AWS service products.
- Lead technical discussions with enterprise customers and participate in customer advisory boards.
- Analyze competitive landscape and identify market opportunities in security.
- Translate customer pain points into technical product requirements and solutions.
- Represent AWS at industry conferences and technical events.
- Drive team execution of strategic initiatives across multiple engineering organizations.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and business development teams.
- Mentor and develop product management skills in team members.
- Take ownership of product reliability issues and drive resolution.
- Influence pricing and packaging decisions for external services.

- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
- 5+ years of technical experience in software development, network development, IT, or related fields.
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS products from concept through GTM.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or PhD.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (preferably AWS), database systems (SQL and No
SQL), AI tools for development productivity, open-source contributions, and/or version control. - Experience with AWS or cloud technologies and with open-source technologies like Linux, Spring, or React.
