Data Stage ETL Developer

Job Description

• Design and develop Teradata ETL jobs and data pipeline.
• Design, develop and support enterprise data warehouse solutions leveraging Teradata and Teradata tools and utilities.
• Extract data from various data sources, transform, and load it into target systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across different systems.
• Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability and reliability.
• Manage Teradata SQL.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
• Write and translate SQL queries and perform SQL data validation.
• Tune the performance of SQL queries.
• Define, manage, and monitor job schedules; troubleshoot issues within the Autosys environment.
• Implement job schedules, dependencies, and workflows within Autosys.
• Analyze and resolve issues with Autosys jobs and processes.
• Troubleshoot job failures in Autosys; failures can involve Linux scripting, Data Stage ETL, Teradata SQL.
• Part Loader which is ETL in Data Stage.
• Optimize database jobs for performance by collaborating with DBAs and implementing SQL coding and design changes within the job structure.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data loading delays and database server outages, ensuring minimal disruption to data flow and system operations.
• Review job logs and performance metrics periodically to identify trends and proactively address potential issues.
• Review production issues through meticulous job log reviews, implement necessary design changes via change management, and adhere to the code promotion process.
• Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, best practices, and system configurations, facilitating knowledge sharing within the team and managing change requests.
• Resolve data issues arising from load delays or database server downtimes, focusing on ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide insights and recommendations for optimizing data processing workflows.

$120,000 - $160,000 per annum
