Position: HW Commodity Specialist II (multiple positions available)

Location:

Seattle, WA

Responsibilities
  • Create forecasts and sourcing plans in support of customer demand.
  • Work with a range of stakeholders including supply chain, operations, engineering, and suppliers to drive supply profiles and to support on-time material availability.
  • Analyze business and technology trends to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and minimize risks for AWS and its customers.
  • Manage material inventories for AWS data centers.
  • Evaluate and monitor performance of suppliers.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture, and follow-up activity coordination.
  • Serve as an escalation point for teams to remediate supplier/material risks.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 10% may be required.
Basic Qualifications

A Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or related discipline followed by 5 progressively responsible years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Experience

Must Include
  • 2 years of experience within Logistics, Transportation, or Distribution Center processes and system.
  • 2 years of experience in a cross-functional organization utilizing sophisticated quantitative analysis and process improvement methodologies including lean process manufacturing and related performance metrics for continuous improvement, optimization and to increase efficiency within processes.
  • 2 years of data center and/or cabling infrastructure.
  • 2 years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau.

Pay range for this position in Seattle, WA is $127,982 - $139,100 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
