Job Summary

The HR Specialist/Coordinator – Badging is responsible for processing and managing airport identification credentials, including badges and access seals, in compliance with TSA and airport security regulations. This role ensures accurate tracking of employee statuses, supports audits, and helps maintain current headcount data from training through active employment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, thrives in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment, and excels in coordination and record management.

The expected pay rate is $27.00/hr full‑time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match, paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities
  • Work closely with Training and Operations teams to confirm onboarding completion and eligibility for credentialing.
  • Facilitate submission of paperwork for background checks and fingerprinting to process badges and seals for new hires, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met (e.g., Valid IDs, supporting documents).
  • Manage and track badge and seal issuance, then update status to reflect in system records accurately.
  • Coordinate and manage badge and seal renewals by tracking expiration dates and proactively communicating with departments to ensure timely compliance.
  • Maintain complete and up‑to‑date records of badge statuses (e.g., active, expired, terminated, pending).
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring data accuracy and documentation completeness.
  • Provide regular reporting on active headcount vs badge/seal status, and compliance metrics.
  • Maintain precise and accurate data entry in all systems and ensure adherence to data retention policies.
  • Communicate badge/seal processes and deadlines clearly to employees and team leads.
  • Perform various other HR tasks to support team such as front desk, filing, employee assistance, etc.
Your profile
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting with shifting priorities.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar or regulated environment (e.g., airport, government, corporate security, HR admin).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, filtering, reporting, and formulas).
  • Experience managing or supporting audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage employee statuses, including onboarding and credentialing timelines.
  • Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially and responsibly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain required airport security clearances.
  • Able to collaborate on projects, maintain effective relationships.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with TSA regulations, airport security protocols, and badging systems.
  • Experience with employee onboarding or credentialing software.
  • Strong customer service background in compliance‑driven environments.
