Job Summary
The Senior Director of Human Resources is a strategic and operational leader responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the human resources department that advances the mission, values and workforce needs of the organization. This role partners closely with leadership to foster a culture of equity, employee engagement and high performance. The Senior Director leads the HR team and ensures effective delivery of recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits and compliance across a varied workforce.
This role is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and initiatives, assessing program effectiveness and leading improvements in the Human Resources department, as well as organization-wide projects as assigned. This position will lead all Human Resources activities to maintain ICHS as an employer of choice, ensuring that programs and practices are assessed, evaluated and/or audited for adherence to applicable laws, regulations, rules and internal policies;
and implementing corrective actions as appropriate.
Education - Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field;
Master's degree preferred. May substitute five (5) or more years of relevant work experience for a required degree.
Experience - Ten (10) years of progressive Human Resources experience including a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership role.
Other Requirement(s) - Ability to travel between ICHS sites as needed. If using a personal vehicle to travel, valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance is required. HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred
