Payroll Specialist – Seattle / Hybrid
Location: Seattle / Hybrid
Salary Range: $66,560 – $83,200

Our client is seeking a detail-driven Payroll Specialist to support a growing, mission-focused organization within the healthcare space. Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:

The Payroll Specialist will support bi-weekly payroll processing for approximately 800 employees across multiple states. This position partners closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting while supporting ongoing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support bi-weekly payroll processing for approximately 800 employees across multiple states.
  • Perform quality control and compliance checks, ensuring accuracy of W-4s, tax setup, and payroll data.
  • Enter and maintain new hire and employee data within the payroll system.
  • Assist with quarterly payroll reconciliations and ad-hoc payroll reporting.
  • Maintain payroll documentation and compliance trackers to support audits and internal reviews.

Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Prior hands-on payroll experience, including multi-state payroll exposure; healthcare environment experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with payroll systems; strong Excel and data accuracy skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Rippling payroll software.
