Overview

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is a key member of the People & Culture team, responsible for supporting a broad range of HR functions with a primary focus on full-cycle recruitment and general HR operations. This role serves as a bridge between the HR Coordinator and the HR Director, ensuring seamless execution of day-to-day HR processes while contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance the employee experience.

Approximately 50% of this position will focus on recruitment and talent acquisition, and the remaining 50% will support HR programs including employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, onboarding, and training.

COMPENSATION: $76,400 - $84,700

Responsibilities
  • Tallent Acquisition:
    Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS); ensure accurate, timely data entry and reporting.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies and ensure an equitable and inclusive hiring process.
  • Build talent pipelines through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building with professional and community organizations.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth and welcoming start for all employees.
  • Support the summer internship program by managing recruitment, orientation, and program logistics.
  • Provide general HR support to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding, including separation paperwork and records management; ensure a smooth transition through timely communication with internal departments and recommend process improvements aligned with organizational needs. Assist in employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and follow-up as directed by the HR Director.
  • Support leave of absence administration, including FMLA, PFML, and ADA accommodations.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of employee trainings, compliance initiatives, and engagement programs.
  • Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
  • Partner with the HR Coordinator on employee data management, HR reporting, and process improvements.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives such as policy updates, performance management, and culture-building efforts.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in recruitment or talent acquisition
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Experience administering or managing an ATS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to pass and maintain security background check clearance
