Job Description
The Career Consultant position focuses on providing individualized support and strategies for candidates in transition, helping them identify career options and achieve successful outcomes, such as transitioning to a new position, making a career shift, pursuing entrepreneurship, or active retirement.
Employment Type: Part-time, hours vary week to week.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Lead Consultant
Direct Reports: No Direct Reports
Language: English (any additional language skills are a plus)
Responsibilities- Assist candidates with change management, skill and interest assessment, career goal definition, and career option identification.
- Guide resume and Linked In profile development, interviewing, negotiating, and new job assimilation.
- Support candidates in building confidence and creating a “best fit” career marketing plan.
- Proactively engage, motivate, and guide candidates in utilizing LHH resources and technology tools.
- Demonstrate expertise in current job-related technology, including Linked In, AI, ChatGPT, ATS, and company/business research databases.
- Help candidates connect to jobs using LHH tools and resources, including referrals to LHH Recruitment Solutions and Talent Finder.
- Provide coaching expertise during interviews and salary negotiations.
- Manage time and priorities related to program deliverables, candidate activity reporting, and participation in customer projects and LHH training events.
- Preferred 8+ years of professional experience in Career Consulting or related fields (HR, recruitment, career/leadership development, training, management consulting, business leadership).
- Business/industry experience across diverse industries (IT, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, marketing, hospitality).
- Strong job market expertise to assist individuals in identifying potential fits across industries/job functions.
- Knowledge of Talent Acquisition strategies (ATS, applicant sourcing, video screening, salary inquiries, interview types).
- Agility in utilizing technology tools (Zoom, Teams, online portals, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong service orientation and passion for making a difference for individuals.
- Ability to prioritize and balance coaching with technology and analytical skills.
- College degree preferred.

- Compensation: $37.50 per hour for Career Transition Consulting
