Overview
Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location (city, state): On-site in Downtown Seattle
Compensation: $30 - $35 / hour
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Qualifications- 3+ Years of multi-state payroll experience
- Technically savvy- strong Excel skills, ADP is a plus
- Experience in the Construction/Engineering industry and knowledge of union payroll
- Process weekly timekeeping and bi-weekly payroll across ~15 states
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll, benefits, PTO, and accruals between systems
- Set up new hires and rehires in payroll/timekeeping systems
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support month/year-end processes
- Assist with audits (401k, Workers Comp) and payroll tax filings
- Respond to employee payroll and timesheet inquiries
- Partner with Payroll, HR, and Accounting teams on reporting and requests
