Job Description

Position Overview

Join our team as a Senior Human Resources Generalist. As part of the People Services team, you’ll be a go‑to expert for multi‑state HR compliance, benefits, leaves of absence, and HRIS processes, balancing hands‑on execution with strategic insight. In this role, you’ll enhance the employee experience, strengthen data integrity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that impact our organizational success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Compliance & Policies

  • Lead annual compliance activities, including KPFF’s Affirmative Action Plan, EEO filings, and other required federal and state reports.
  • Monitor multi‑state employment regulations; develop actionable policy updates, training, and communications.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team and Director of People Services to maintain job descriptions that meet state/federal compliance standards.

HRIS Administration (Paycom) & Analytics

  • Own advanced HRIS administration, including testing features, configuration changes, and user education.
  • Develop Paycom and Power BI reports to support HR strategy, spot trends, and drive decision‑making.
  • Ensure data accuracy through audits, controls, and collaboration with Benefits and Payroll Specialists.

Benefits & Leave Programs

  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert on benefits and leaves of absence across multiple states, partnering closely with the Leaves Specialist.
  • Respond to employee inquiries, approve enrollments, and ensure HRIS data integrity.
  • Coordinate Open Enrollment communications and timelines and perform recurring benefits audits.
  • Process, audit, and reconcile monthly/quarterly vendor billing; collaborate with providers to resolve issues promptly.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Partner with Payroll and Benefits team on compliance updates, system changes, and process documentation.
  • Develop practical guides and training that help employees and local Benefits contacts navigate HR processes confidently.
  • Build strong relationships throughout G&A Shared Services team; model KPFF’s values and culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For:

  • 7 - 9 years of experience supporting a variety of HR processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate regulation into clear policy and process; meticulous attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented communicator who builds trust and fosters collaboration.
  • Consistently manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Adapt and take initiative, working well independently and as part of a team.
Additional Information

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Occasionally may berequiredto lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
