OverviewThe Associate Staffing Consultant (ASC) is a newly created role within our Contract Staffing Training Program (CSTP) and focuses on the candidate lifecycle. This role is partnered with an assigned counterpart—Senior Staffing Consultant (SSC), Associate Lead Staffing Consultant (ALSC), Lead Staffing Consultant (LSC) or Recruiting Manager (RM). The main responsibility is to supplement the candidate funnel and provide support as needed across the recruitment lifecycle.
The ASC strengthens the skills of a new recruiter who may progress to a full‑lifecycle recruitment role or focuses on sourcing and supporting contract positions.
- Identify prospective candidates via job board search tools, Linked In, internet searches, referrals and professional networking.
- Interview prospective candidates.
- Prep candidates for client interviews—review resumes, discuss client needs and conduct mock interviews.
- Extend job offers and manage the offer process for candidates.
- Reach out to candidates on assignment to ensure they have everything they need.
- Conduct proactive cold calling to identify potential candidates, reaching out to as many prospects as possible to build a strong pipeline.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills—essential for daily interactions with internal teams and external candidates.
- A genuine love for working with people and building relationships.
- Highly self‑motivated and persistent—ready to make 100+ calls and pursue the 101st call with enthusiasm.
- Leadership skills and competitive drive; a proven track record of striving for and achieving goals in a goal‑oriented environment.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment about business decisions and candidate selection.
- A relentless drive to meet goals and metrics, demonstrating a go‑get‑ter attitude and a commitment to performance.
