Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

The Hockenbery Lab is in the Clinical Research Division that explores how cell metabolism — the step-by-step processes cells use to break down nutrients — is used to control programmed cell death in both normal and cancer cells. A highly motivated, bright individual with a career path in biological sciences and/or medicine is sought for a part-time position with variable hours.
ResponsibilitiesThe intern will meet with lab members and participate in lab meetings. The intern will analyze cell proliferation using data generated by manual counts and the Incucyte software in Shared Resources, prepare figures and data summaries.
QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled in a college level program seeking a degree in Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry. Background in Machine Learning, Bioinformatics, R software environment beneficial
- Available for flexible hours as needed
- Previous Internship in a laboratory
The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship at this time.
